What Constitutes Nutrition?

Part 1 – ENZYMES

Dr Walker says, “The world’s most serious problem is undoubtedly malnutrition.”

Despite ample food globally, malnutrition affects both wealthy and impoverished countries.

Many foods consumed lack certain vital and essential nutrients.

The most vital nutritional element is Enzymes.

Enzymes are not substances or things but are the life in atoms and molecules.

Atoms compose the cells of both the human body as well as all plants.

Plant cells are similar to human cells and are full of enzymes.

Enzymes are involved in every function of the human body.

Enzymes are sensitive to heat above 118° F and over 130° F they are dead.

Foods cooked above 130°F are called Dead Foods because their enzymes are destroyed.

On the other hand, cold or subzero temperatures do not affect enzymes.

Raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds are Live Foods as the enzymes in them are alive.

Notably, dead matter cannot perform the functions of living organisms.

Therefore, Dead Foods lack the nutritional value found in Live Food.

While Dead Foods sustain life, they progressively degenerate health, energy and vitality.

That is why there are many doctors, pharmacies, and hospitals everywhere.

Dr. Walker cites the example of a farmer who gave pasteurized milk to calves, they all died within six
months.

Pasteurized milk is heated to 161°F, eliminating all enzymes.

“Enzymes have been described as complex substances which enable us to digest food and to absorb it into
our blood.”

“It has also been claimed that Enzymes digest cancers.”

Enzymes provide the energy necessary for voluntary and involuntary body functions.

However, not everyone can eat only raw foods like Dr. Walker.

We are habituated to eating cooked foods from birth.

Dr. Walker developed the science of Food Combining for those who eat cooked foods.

Eating enough raw foods daily can help sustain youthfulness and longevity.

That is why it is beneficial to include some raw foods in every meal.

Part 2 – Law of Replenishment

Food is consumed primarily to produce energy needed for activities.

This energy is generated by enzymes within the atoms.

Millions of such atoms constitute each cell in the body.

Billions of cells form the tissues that compose the body’s parts.

When enzymes complete their tasks, the cells get exhausted and are discarded as waste.

These cells need to be replaced from the food that we eat, this is the cycle of replenishment and
regeneration.

Dr. Walker says, “It is on the quality of this replacement that we build up health, energy and vitality – or
the reverse.”

“Even a child understands that life and death cannot coexist.”

“LIFE begets LIFE, and in no other way can LIFE be begotten!”

The replenishment of Life in your body must essentially come from the Life in the food you eat.

Such food has the power to consistently regenerate and revitalize the life force within your cells and
tissues every day.

Raw foods, in their natural state, contain living energy within their cells.

Such atomic Life is classified as ENZYMES.

The ability of the food to restore worn-out cells in the body is called the Law of Replenishment.

Foods without active enzymes are called dead foods.

Such foods sustain life, but it comes at the cost of progressive degeneration of health.

Eating adequate natural foods and efficiently eliminating worn-out cells leads to Vibrant Health.

PART 3 – Trace Minerals

We are now aware that Enzymes are the most vital nutritional element.

The next key nutritional component is trace elements. These are present in very small quantities and can only be observed with powerful microscopes.

The main structure of the body is composed of 16 elements, along with 43 trace elements.

Dr Walker says, “We therefore know today that there are at least 59 elements in the constitution of the human anatomy and its functions and activities”

An imbalance or deficiency of one or more elements can directly impact human health and sickness.

The body needs minute microscopic amounts of trace elements to maintain optimum health.

Certain body parts and functions require just one or two trace elements.

For example, Erbium is necessary for appendix function.

Neptunium and Iron are essential to ensure good kidney function.

Chromium is needed for the outer skin of the body.

It is essential that these elements are consistently replenished and maintained in equilibrium within the system.

A balanced and healthy body requires consuming a sufficient variety of fresh raw foods daily to supply essential nutrients.

Eat two or three of these foods daily, as they contain almost all 59 elements: Alfalfa, Beets, Cabbage, Capsicum, Carrots, Corn, Cucumbers, Leaf Dulse, Hazel Nuts, Jerusalem Artichokes, Kelp, Mung Beans, Dried Olives, Papayas, Pine Nuts, Pumpkin Seeds and Watercress.

For millions of years, topsoil from land has been carried into the oceans by rain and snow.

There is no soil on earth as rich and complete in essential minerals as the bottom of the oceans.

Seaweed is one of our most valuable food supplements, its roots can extend up to 30,000 feet below the ocean surface.

Sea vegetation, such as Dulse or Kelp, used in moderation, supplies essential trace elements not found in vegetables and fruits.

Hybrid plants are quite deficient in trace elements, particularly corn. Avoid eating hybrid foods whenever possible.

All other foods also contain trace elements but usually in lesser quantities.

Consuming diverse fresh raw vegetables, fruits, and their juices ensures that we get essential trace and other elements for our health.
